About the event

Zach Fenton co-founded UpCurve Energy and built it from the ground up into a company producing 15,000 boe/d across 20,000 acres in the Delaware Basin.  UpCurve I was formed in 2015 and UpCurve II in 2021, both in partnership with Post Oak Energy Capital.  Prior to co-founding UpCurve, Zach worked as a Reservoir Engineer in ConocoPhillips’ Eagle Ford organization and before that spent several years at ConocoPhillips in various strategy, BD and leadership support positions, between both Houston and Aberdeen.

Prior to joining ConocoPhillips, Zach worked as an Associate at the NY-based private equity firm Lindsay Goldberg and as an Analyst in Morgan Stanley’s Investment Banking Division, where he focused primarily on energy industry M&A and financings. Zach received an MBA with honors from the Wharton School and a Certificate in Petroleum Engineering from Texas A&M. He graduated cum laude from Duke University with a BA in Economics where he was a member of their Division I men’s lacrosse team.  Zach is a member of the Society of Petroleum Engineers.

The American Petroleum Institute, Houston, is among the industry's largest and most dynamic trade associations promoting industry knowledge, professional development, and scholarship for the next generation of Oil & Gas workers.

API Houston General Meetings provide excellent networking and significant actionable market information from our presenter(s) during the formal luncheon.

Proceeds from API Houston events are directed towards our five scholarship endowments at the University of Texas, Austin, Texas A&M University, College Station, Texas Tech University, Texas A&M, Kingsville, & the University of Houston.
